| 30 Filipino crewmembers rescued in South China Sea |

| Around 8:00am November 22, 2007, a Philippine fishing vessel sank in South China Sea while trying to shelter from typhoon Hagibis. Seven Chinese fishing vessels in the same area immediately approached to the accident spot and successfully rescued about 30 Filipino crewmembers. It is reported that there were more than 80 crewmembers onboard when the accident happened. China Maritime Rescue Center has already dispatched rescue vessels to the accident spot to search for the missing crewmembers, and has also coordinated the passing-by vessels to join the rescue action. The rescue is still ongoing. |
