Chinese Premier expresses condolence to Philippine President over Super-typhoon losses

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao sent a message of condolence on December 2 to Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo over the heavy casualties and property losses caused by the super-typhoon and landslides in the country.

Premier Wen, on behalf of the Chinese government and people, expressed his deep sympathy and sincere condolences to President Arroyo, the Philippine government and people, as well as the relatives of the victims. Chinese Premier also expressed the belief that under the leadership of President Arroyo, the people of the Philippines will be able to overcome the disaster through the concerted efforts.

Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing also sent a message of condolence to his Philippine counterpart, Foreign Secretary Alberto Romulo on the same day.
