2006/10/18

BEIJING, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Justice has set up an administration to strengthen the standardization of expert witness accounts in court, according to a Legal Daily report.

"The newly-established administration is responsible for outlining development, drawing up laws and regulations, and standardizing expert witness work," said Huo Xiandan, director of the administration.

Expert testimonies are vital to help crack down on crimes, ensure justice and maintain social stability, Huo stressed.
