Chinese Ambassador Song Tao has a meeting with the new NEDA director general, Hon. Ralph Recto, on September 16. The two exchanged views on the China-Philippines economic and trade collaboration.

First, Ambassador Song congratulated Hon. Recto for his new assignment. Ambassador Song reiterated that, as a friendly neighbor of the Philippines, China always wishes to provide assistance for the Philippine social and economic development, advance the mutual-beneficial bilateral cooperation, and thus benefit the two peoples. A smooth and health growth of bilateral economic and trade cooperation serves the common interests of the two peoples. Bearing this in mind, the Chinese embassy to the Philippines would like to strengthen its exchange and cooperation with NEDA.

Hon. Recto expressed his consent and willingness to upgrade the coordination and collaboration between the two entities in the joint efforts to promote the China-Philippine mutual-beneficial economic and trade cooperation.
