On February 10, China and the Philippines exchanged their respective Instruments of Ratification for China-Philippines Extradition Treaty to signify the approval of the treaty by the two countries.

H.E. Li Jinjun, Chinese ambassador to the Philippines represented the Chinese government while Hon. Alberto Romulo represented the Philippine government during the formal exchange of diplomatic notes.

The China-Philippines extradition treaty will take effect on March 12, thirty days after the formal exchange of the instruments of ratification between the two countries.
