On December 14, 2005, H.E. Ambassador Li Jinjun paid a courtesy call on Honorable Noli de Castro, Vice President of the Philippines. They spoke highly of China-Philippines relations, and had in-depth discussion on Northrail Project, infrastructure, mining, and tourism cooperation. They also pledged to make concerted efforts to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
