Another achievement made in CN-PH law enforcement cooperation VS POGOs
2023-12-14 22:04

On December 14, law enforcement agencies of China and the Philippines cooperated in the repatriation of 180 Chinese citizens engaged in offshore gambling in the Philippines. This marks the latest progress in the cooperation between China and the Philippines to combat offshore gambling. On October 27, the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) and the Department of Justice(DOJ) organized a joint raid on a POGO company in Pasay City and detained a number of offshore gaming employees. At the request of the Philippine side, the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines promptly assisted in verifying the identities of the Chinese citizens among them and assisted in the repatriation procedures.

The Chinese Embassy will continue its solid support in China-Philippines law enforcement cooperation to effectively tackle crimes related to the offshore gambling industry and safeguard the healthy social economic cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
